For 17 consecutive years, this event has afforded Canadians the opportunity to take the ice with over 200 celebrity NHL players while raising funding and awareness for the organization's inititiatives to help end homelessness in Canada. Individuals can get involved through not only playing in the tournament games in sites across Canada, but also by donating, sponsoring teams, and volunteering.
There’s more than one story when it comes to how people end up homeless and that’s why there is more than one way to help. Hockey Helps the Homeless invests in solutions that ensure fewer individuals and families end up on the streets.
To do so, we support organizations and programs committed to ending homelessness through:
General Donation or Tribute
Make a gift now to Hockey Helps the Homeless and Be a Game Changer for the homeless. Donations of $25.00 or greater will automatically receive a tax receipt via email.
Make a donation to honour someone who is celebrating a special occasion (such as a wedding anniversary, birthday, or bar\bat mitzvah). You will receive a tax receipt for your generous gift, and we will send a card with your special message to the person(s) being honoured.
Make a donation in memory of someone who has passed away. You will receive a tax receipt for your generous gift, and we will send a card acknowledging your thoughtful gift to the bereaved family or another designated recipient.
Become a Sponsor
Many different sponsorship packages are available at a local, regional, or national level and all sponsorship levels include strong visibility leading up to and during your local event. At HHTH, we work hard to customize a package that will maximize your company's visibility, drive employee engagement, and create amazing customer hosting opportunties.
Volunteer
Our tournaments would not be possible without the over 1000 volunteers working across the country. You'll meet hockey legends and Olympic Champions, spend a day at the arena and help end homelessness in your community. There are plenty of things to do and fun to be had! There are a variety of volunteer positions that are flexible to your skills and schedule.
