Piranha Pegs will lock down the net and Edge ProTech Post Guard will protect protect goalie (and player) skates during practice and warmup. Together they make the perfect combination for training.
The Piranha Pegs feature 3 Stainless Steel spikes designed to aggressively bite into the ice. There is no hole alignment necessary, simply smack 'em into the ice and you are ready to play.
The installation of the Piranha Peg is quite simple. For BEST results, place the Piranha Peg in the palm of your hand and engage the spikes into the ice 5-6 times to ensure the base of the peg is flush to the ice. Affix the goal post on to the pegs evenly on both sides to ensure the net is resting on the goal line and ready for play.
DO NOT PUT PEGS INSIDE POST AND DROP ONTO ICE, SPIKES WILL NOT ENGAGE ALL THE WAY INTO ICE (this is the old-school way of engaging shallow single pegs). Each Piranha Peg needs to be spiked into the ice by hand, allowing the spikes to set into the ice for maximum result. Make sure the Piranah Peg base is flush to the ice before setting the goal net on top of the peg.
The Edge ProTech Post Guard is a patented rubberized goalie skate blade protector that easily attaches to any hockey goal post. With a durable construction these post guards are built to last.
Imagine this, you are in a championship pre-game warm-up and you slide back to the goal post, smashing directly into it, nicking your skate blade. The nick is so severe that you have to leave the ice to get your skate sharpened by the equipment manager just before the game begins. The pre-game clock frighteningly ticks away and so does your mental focus. As the equipment manager rushes to get you your newly sharpened skate to you seconds before the team heads out of the locker room, you try desperately to regain your mental focus while getting dressed in a panic. Fast forward to today and Edge Protech has developed a simple, quick and effective solution. The Edge Protech is now used by every team in the NHL, was used in the 2010 and 2014 Winter Olympics, and was featured on Coaches Corner with Don Cherry. With over 20,000 sets sold worldwide, Edge Protech has now become a symbol for goaltender skate blade protection at every level of hockey worldwide.
Simply snap the rubberized post guard onto the post and twist to lock it in place. No tools are required.
